Malta International Airport has reported that in April it hosted a total of 376,935 passengers, resulting in an increase of 13.7 per cent when compared to the same period last year.

It is also interesting to note that traffic figures for April are comparable to those achieved in June 2012 (375,294 passengers) clearly showing that the efforts undertaken by the Ministry for Tourism, Malta Tourism Authority and the Airport, in promoting Malta as an all year round destination are bearing fruit.

The UK continues to lead as the biggest market, increasing its passengers arriving on Malta by 14.8 per cent. Germany and France registered even higher growth at 21.6 and 21.4 per cent respectively.
