Heroin found in Zabbar residence, five held

Five persons from Zabbar are being held by the police following the seizure of a packet of heroin found in a residence on Thursday afternoon. The police had been tipped off that in the said Zabbar residence drugs, highly likely heroin, was being trafficked.
The drugs were found on a 37-year-old man who lives in the raided residence. Several drug-related objects were also found.
A 22-year-old woman who also lives in the same residence and three other men whose ages vary from 19 to 39 are also being held in connection with the case.
Further police investigations are under way. The persons are expected to be arraigned in court in the coming days.
