MIM’s Risk Management business breakfast
The Malta Institute of Management (MIM) has highlighted the importance of risk management over the years and has delivered various activities in this respect. Given the current global scenario, the MIM is organizing a breakfast meeting this Thursday 7 May 2009 at the Radisson SAS Baypoint in St Julians between 8.30am and 10am discussing risk management. This meeting will be addressed by Michael Lucas, KPMG UK Senior Manager and Simon Osbourne from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
Mr Lucas, who specialises on Risk Management and is also a member of the Institute of Risk Management and a lead examiner of the Chartered Insurance Institute, will address the symptoms of underperformance, risk management activity in the current climate and the ideal head of risk among other topics.
Mr Osbourne will be focusing on “Challenges for Audit Committees” while also highlighting the Company’s Secretary role importance in Risk Management.
Risk Management is essential to organizations and should be an integral part of decision making. In the current situation, managing uncertainty guarantees continual improvement and enhancement of organizations.
