‘Libya build 09’ Exhibition
The 6th International Building and Construction Exhibition (Libya Build 09) was inaugurated on Monday 18th May at the Tripoli International Fairgrounds.
Libya Build has been successful since the beginning and opened the channels to more than 500 companies from 30 different countries to interact and start up business within the Libyan market.
Nine Maltese companies are participating in this year’s Libya Build and Malta Enterprise together with its Libya Office has been entrusted to coordinate all the logistics for this international event.
The main speaker at the inauguration ceremony was the Libyan Secretary of the General People’s Committee for Industry, Economy and Trade, Mr. Mohamed Ali Al Hwaij, who touched upon the importance of such events at such an important phase of the Libyan economy.
The inauguration ceremony at the Omar Mokhtar Centre was attended by Dr. Joseph Pirotta, Charge d’Affaires at the Embassy of Malta, Mr. Alan Camilleri, Malta Enterprise CEO, Mr. Dennis Vella, Head Local Business Development at Malta Enterprise and Mr. Noel Hollier, Head of the Malta Enterprise Libya Office. Dr. Pirotta had the opportunity to visit the stands of the Maltese companies which are participating.
Dr. Pirotta also attended a Business Seminar organized by Malta Enterprise at the Omar Mokhtar Centre where the Maltese participating companies had the opportunity to introduce themselves to their Libyan counterparts.
