A 44 year-old man from Sliema is being held in relation to the alleged stabbing of a man in Attard on Monday night.

The victim, of Zabbar,was found lying in a pool of blood and was rushed to Mater Dei hospital where it was certified that he was suffering from grievous injuries. His injuries are, however, not life threatening.

It was later established that the stabbing took place in Triq Tommaso Dingli and not in Main Street where the victim was found.
