Two Malta Hit Song Contest singers are currently in Antalya, Turkey taking part in the Altin Nar Festival 2009.

Miriam Christine, winner of the Malta Hit Song Contest 2008 and Romina Mamo, runner-up of the International Malta Hit Song Contest 2009 are currently taking part in the Altin Nar Festival 2009 held in Antalya, Turkey. They will perform their songs this Friday 19th June 2009. The show will also be aired on the Turkish national broadcaster, TRT.

This competition stipulates that the participants should perform two cover versions – an International hit and a Turkish Hit.

Romina Mamo, who will represent Malta, will perform:
‘Here I am’ by Sertab Erener
and ‘Mahmure’ by Nükhet Duru

Miriam Christine, who will represent Brazil, will perform:
‘Listen’ by Beyonce
and ‘Hal Hal Barýþ Manço’ by Nazan Þoray

Their participation was made possible thanks to the good collaboration between the organisers of the International Malta Hit Song Contest and Altin Nar Festival. Both festivals are run under the auspices of F.I.D.O.F. Robert Cefai is the Head of the Maltese Delegation in Antalya, Turkey.
