On Saturday, Keith Pace, a 28-year-old man living in Marsa, was accused of stealing items worth thousands of euros from various locations in Malta.

He stole antiques worth over €2,329.37 from an antiques shop in Valley Road in Msida on 2nd January 2009, while on 12th February 2009 he stole over €2,329.37 worth of antiques from another antiques shop in Providence Street Balzan.

Mr Pace was also accused of stealing other items worth over €2,329.37 from two residences – one in Fra Diegu Street Hamrun and the other in St Thomas Street Floriana – while he was also accused of stealing items worth less than €2,329.37 from another residence in Triq ix-Xatt, Pieta’.

He was also accused of damaging these properties, handling stolen goods and violating the conditions of a previous release.

The accused pleaded guilty and was kept under preventive arrest at the Correctional Facilities at Kordin. His sentence is to be handed down on Wednesday. The prosecution is being led by Inspector Keith Arnaud.
