A 21-year-old man from Ghajnsielem, Shaun Attard, was charged in the Gozo courts with cultivating cannabis.

He was accused of cultivating the drug these past 4 months, being in its possession and having it in quantities which showed it was not for his personal use. He was also accused of cultivating tobacco without a licence.

The accused pleaded not guilty and was conditionally discharged against a personal guarantee of €2,000. He also has to sign in at the police station once daily. The prosecution was led by Inspector Frank Tabone.
