Glenn Bedingfield, 33, will be succeeding Joseph Muscat in the European Parliament after being elected in by-elections on Friday.

Beddingfield got 62% first count votes. He obtained close to 26,000 votes.

The other contestants were Wenzu Mintoff and Robert Micallef.
