Posted on August 10th, 2009
The Maltese Information and Technology Agency (MITA), in collaboration with Microsoft Malta, have produced Windows Vista in Maltese. All those using this operating system can download the Maltese version free of charge.
Over 400,000 words were translated into Maltese, although certain standard international English words were not translated.
During a press conference on Monday, Microsoft Malta Managing Director Pierre Mallia said that the translating work lasted around eight months. Various people were involved in this project, not only MITA staff, but also translators and academics.
