The Department for Environmental Health has reported that a consignment of four crates of milk and one ricotta container have been sealed and seized by Health Inspectors from a grocery outlet in M’Scala.

The dairy products were left outside the shop by the distributor prior to the opening of the shop. This resulted in the dairy products being kept outside the permitted temperature zone.

As is normal practice legal action will be initiated against the distributor and the retailer who had recently been convicted of a similar offence.

The Department for Environmental Health would like to thank the consumers who have during the last few days lodged various complaints and reminds the public that the Department would investigate every complaint to ensure food safety.
