A 16-year-old boy lost his life after falling from height of 7 stories in a shaft in Sliema on Sunday evening. The police said they received the report of the accident at around 1915 hrs CET.

The boy is from Zurrieq and the accident happened in Triq in-Nazzerenu. Members of the Civil Protection Department were called on site. The duty magistrate held an inquiry. The police are investigating.
