Video: Police investigate motive for Qormi parcel-bomb
Philip Cini, the man injured in a parcel bomb explosion on Tuesday afternoon, is still in serious condition although he has turned stable.The police, who have not yet spoken to him, are investigating and are trying to establish the motive for the attack. His relatives were questioned by the police for several hours on Tuesday.
The 60-year-old man was seriously injured early on Tuesday afternoon when he opened a parcel bomb at his residence in Qormi.
The police said the incident happened at around 13:20 CET in St Edward Street Qormi when the man was opening a parcel he had just received.
The man was taken to hospital where he was certified to be seriously injured and in danger of dying.
