The Carnival festivities began as usual on Saturday morning with the traditional dèfilè along Republic Street in Valletta with the participation of the King of Carnival and other floats.

Many people, especially children, were in Valletta to enjoy the Carnival festivities. The float builders were also eager to show off their new carnival floats.
