Video: Maltese songwriter in top Icelandic charts
Maltese songwriter Gerard James Borg is gaining popularity not only in Malta, but also beyond its shores. Currently, the song ‘I Don’t Do Boys’ by all-female Icelandic group Elektra is found in the 8th position in the Icelandic charts, only two days after it was released.
The author for this song is none other than Gerard James Borg. The song has already reached 11,000 hits on YouTube in just 24 hours, even though the video is considered appropriate only for people over the age of 18.
This is not the first time that Borg has been asked to write song lyrics for foreign artists. The popular Russian singer Dima Bilan has also collaborated with the Maltese songwriter on a song entitled ‘White Nights’, which was supposed to feature in the Russian Song Contest for Europe but was pulled out in the last minute.
