The musical that took Malta by storm last year and then had another very successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August is ready to roll again and wow theatre goers in London.

‘Porn, the Musical’ features young Maltese lad Stefan Bugeja, whose happy existence on Malta is shattered when he finds out that his fianceé Jade is not as angelic and pure as he thought. Stefan goes off to America in search of a new life. What he finds is an exciting group of friends in an industry that takes some getting used to, as well as a well-endowed star who goes by the name of Sanddy (with a Double D).

This anarchic and hilarious musical features a number of catchy numbers such as ‘Many Ways to Do It’ and ‘I got a PHD’.

The trio known as Indiskarf, made up of Malcolm Galea, Boris Cezek and Kris Spiteri are the minds behind this unique show. They are also the producers, in collaboration with Latina Productions and Theatre503 at 503 Battersea Park Road, London.

The super-talented London cast will include English actors David Burt, Brendan Cull, Ahmet Ahmet, Alain Terzoli, Jody Peach and Sophia Thierens, most of whom are West End actors. David Burt is a very popular name in the musical theatre field and was in the original casts of Les Miserables and Chess. The role of the Narrator will once again be played by Malcolm Galea. The music will be performed ‘live’ by Kris Spiteri and Boris Cezek.

The new version of ‘Porn the Musical’ is being directed by Joint Artistic Director of Theatre503 Paul Robinson, whose recent credits include the West End premiere of Athol Fugard’s ‘Hello and Goodbye’ (ETT/Trafalgar Studios) and ‘Breakfast with Mugabe’ (Bath Theatre Royal). He also directed the West End transfer of Tom Stoppard’s ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll’.

Performances start on the 6th April and end on the 1st May so those Maltese travellers who will be in London during those dates, as well as Maltese who live there, really should not miss the opportunity to watch this fantastic show.
