In the last few days, the police has made two drug finds of cannabis, heroin, cocaine and ecstasy, one of them being a large find.

The first find constituted of heroin, cocaine and cannabis and was found in a residence in Tarxien. A 22 year old man was found with 12 grams of cocaine and heroin and a small amount of cannabis for personal use. The drugs were found at his parents’ place.

This is not the first time that the man has become known to the Police, as he has other pending cases on drug trafficking.

Magistrate Lawrence Quintano has appointed an inquiry. Upon being taken to court, the man pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody.

Another important find was made on Sunday night in Marsa. Following a report made about familial arguments in an apartment, the Police suspected the presence of drugs once on site. Upon investigation, the Police found around 100 ecstasy pills.

The Police continued in its investigations, especially since the person in question was already a subject of investigation about drug trafficking. It resulted that the man was selling big amounts of ecstasy pills.

On Monday afternoon, the Police found a safe hidden in the same apartment which contained more than 16,300 pills.

Duty Magistrate Dr Lawrence Quintano has appointed several experts to help him in the inquiry.

The 36 year old man was taken to court on Wednesday morning, charged with drug trafficking.
