Video: Fireworks explosion victim dies

John Abela, who was severely burnt in an explosion at the St. Catherine’s fireworks factory of Żejtun last Tuesday, has succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, the police said. He was 62. Four other persons had been injured, but were not in a critical condition. The factory is situated at Marsaxlokk.
The police said investigations continue.
Abela is the third victim of fireworks factory explosion this year. Another two had died in an explosion in the St. Sebastian factory of Qormi.
