An elderly man was critically injured on Saturday when he was hit by a car in Main Street in Zebbug.
The police reported that the incident occurred at around noon when the 83-year-old man from Zebbug was hit by a Citroen car driven by a 34-year-old man also from Zebbug.
The elderly man was rushed to hospital where he was certified to be seriously ijured and in danger of dying.
Meanwhile, a two-year-old boy was also injured in a separate accident when he was hit by a car in Qawra Road, Qawra, at about 15:30 CEST. It seems the boy was running after a ball and rushed out between two parked cars, giving the car that hit him no time to stop.
