Fuel prices remain unchanged
Enemalta Corporation has announced revisions in industrial fuel prices effective from 1st June 2010 but no changes in the prices of petrol, diesel, kerosene and heating oil.

These revisions reflect the prices fetched by Enemalta for the latest shipments of imported fuel. The May unleaded consignment was based on May Platts prices which were lower than the April levels on which previous revisions were based. Still stability in the price was brought about due to unfavourable exchange rate movements.
Since January 2010, the euro has weakened from highs of $1.4563 to lows of $1.2142 in May 2010 as seen in chart below. Such exchange rate movements have been detrimental to Enemalta’s retail product purchases.
