Price of diesel up by 2 cents
Enemalta Corporation has announced revisions in fuel prices effective from 1st July 2010 with diesel going up in price by 2 cents.

These revisions reflect the prices fetched by Enemalta for the latest shipments of imported fuel. The June diesel consignment was based on June Platts prices which on average were lower than the March levels on which previous revisions were based. Still diesel retail prices for July increased due to unfavourable exchange rate movements.
Since January 2010, the euro has weakened from highs of $1.4563 to lows of $1.1875 in June 2010 as seen in chart below. Such exchange rate movements have been detrimental to Enemalta’s retail product purchases.
