Woman and baby injured in Mgarr accident

A 26-year-old woman from Birkirkara and an eight-month-old baby were injured on Wednesday when their car, a Peugeot 206, was hit by a Ford Transit van on the Mgarr-Ghajn Tuffieha road.
According to a police report, the accident occurred at noon when the van, driven by a 74-year-old man from San Gwann, crashed into the parked Peugeot.
The man was not injured but the woman and baby were hospitalized. Their car turned upside down with the impact.
