Iraqi charged with attempted murder

An Iraqi was on Sunday arraigned in court for the attempted murder of a Somali in Marsascala on Friday.
Moqmen Abdu Isshaki, aged 35 resident at Hal Far, pleaded not guilty.
The police said the man was charged with attempted murder, causing grievous injuries to the Somali, Gaser Salman Darman, with the illegal possession of a sharp and cutting instrument and breaching public peace at Mifsud Bonnici square in Marsascala.
He was retained in custody.
