President George Abela on Tuesday said that Istrina 2010 will for the secondary consecutive year refrain from awarding any prizes to donors.

The 2010 edition will again be held on the 26th of December at the Lufthansa Technik hanger in Luqa.

President Abela spoke when he assigned the funds collected to the 28 institutions which benefited from the donations collected at Istrina 2009. A net gain of more than 2 million Euro, enabled each institution to collect a considerable amount of fund to use for notable causes.

Amongst others institutions benefiting from the donations included Community Chest Fund and Inspire Foundation.
