Suspended jail term made effective after theft

A 16-year old Libyan pleaded not guilty, to stealing from a residence in Qormi, in front of the court, also a 27-year old man on suspended jail term was effectively arrested on Friday.
The 16-year-old is a resident at Suret il-Bniedem in Gzira as he suffered from parental abuse. He pleaded not guilty to stealing household items with a net value of €232. He was then granted bail against a personal guarantee of €500.
Keith Camilleri, aged 27 from Qormi, previously on an 18-months jail term suspended to four years, was effectively arrested after he was charged with theft and driving an unlicensed and uninsured vehicle.
