A man, of foreign nationality, was critically injured on Saturday night in Paceville.

The police said that around 3:30 hrs CEST a woman alerted them that a man was seen unconscious in Dragonara Road.

He sustained serious facial injuries and is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at Mater Dei. The 33-year-od man is of Libyan nationality.

Magistrate Anthony Vella is holding an inquiry.
