A 75-year-old man from Mosta was critically injured on Sunday morning, when he was accidentally hit by a car, driven by a 29-year-old from Rabat, at Constitution Avenue in Mosta.

The accident occurred at around 06:15hrs CET. The man was immediately rushed to Mater Dei Hospital where he is being treated at the Intensive Care Unit.

Further investigations are underway.
