Hagar Qim protective shelter damaged by winds

The protective shelter over Hagar Qim and Mnajdra temples in Qrendi was damaged by the gale force winds of Friday, Heritage Malta said. Hagar Qim Temples will be closed until further notice whereas Mnajdra temples will open as from tomorrow.
The agency said that its staff together with the Civil protection Department went on site to stabilise the lost and torn parts, this avoided further damages to the shelter. The temples will be closed on Saturday to conclude investigations however the temples did not sustain any damages to their structure.
