30-year-old mother accused of attempted murder

On Tuesday 30-year-old Sharon Briffa from Mtarfa was arraigned for attempted murder when she allegedly drove her car up a crowded street in Gzira on Sunday afternoon.
The woman, who is mother-of-four children aged between six and 12, pleaded not guilty to the all charges, including seriously injuring Roman Sultana and Kenneth Sultana.
Furthermore she was also accused of driving her car dangerously and at excessive speed.
Magistrate Giovanni Griscti granted her bail against a personal guarantee of €4,000.
