On Saturday afternoon a 15-year-old Italian girl was rescued by the Armed Forces of Malta after she sustained back injuries in Comino.

The AFM rescue team rescued the 15-year-old tourist after she dived into the sea at around 13:00hrs CEST and hit her back against some rocks.

The girl was flown to Mater Dei Hospital on an Alouette Helicopter, where she is being treated for back injuries.
