Five injured in Marsa crash

On Friday afternoon five people were injured in a traffic accident at December 13 Road, Marsa, their condition is not yet known.
The police confirmed that the accident occurred at around 15:00hrs CEST when a 21-year-old driver, from Luqa, driving a Seat Ibiza in the direction of Valletta crossed the center strip after losing control of the vehicle and then crashed into a Mercedes taxi that was being driven in the direction of the airport.
The taxi was driven by a 31-year-old man from Qormi. The passengers were two Italian couples aged between 50 and 52.
All the people who were in the taxi were rushed to Mater Dei Hospital.
