Perkussjoni u hsejjes ohra: Sultans of the City will be premiered during Notte Bianca on 1st October 2011. Philip Vella has created a musical piece in four movements which includes live percussion, strong vocals and recorded sounds.

Inspired by our history, by the location and by other elements, from what simply started as an ambience piece, Sultans has evolved into a story told by sounds, voices and imagery. This is the first of a series of projects based on the fusion of music, vocality, imagery and location.

The lyrics are by Cher Vella and Philip Vella, the musical arrangement is by Sean Vella, the concept is by Martin Gauci and Peter Busuttil, Direction is by PmP. Vocalists: Ludwig Galea, Lawrence Gray, and Annabelle Debono. Percussion/Drums: Steven Bartolo, Benjamin Cachia, Luke Vella Clark, and Emanuel Pulis.
