Man arrested for pick-pocketing

On Sunday afternoon a man, from Sierra Leone, was arrested in St Julian’s for pick-pocketing.
The man has allegedly been pick-pocketing at St George’s Bay.
After some people tried to stop the man on the scene he managed to run away, dragging one of them on the ground and punching others, the police were called on the scene.
Before managing to arrest the man the police were punched as a battle ensued.
The police have also found three mobile phones and some cash on his person.
