Arts Council launches Francis Ebejer Prize
The Malta Council for Culture and the Arts has launched another edition of the Francis Ebejer scriptwriting competition.
The prize is aimed at new and established writers to showcase their plays to a large audience and the creative industry. It seeks to give a strong platform to the most promising pieces of new playwriting in Maltese. The recognition package for the very best works not only includes monetary prizes, but also envisages support to see the winning plays produced and published.
The competition is open to writers of any age, level of experience and nationality. All plays must be written in Maltese. This does not exclude the use of other languages, provided that the main language is Maltese.
The Guidelines of the Francis Ebejer Prize and the application forms are available online at www.maltaculture.com.
Applications are to reach the Malta Coucil for Culture and the Arts by the 31st May 2012.
