An Opel Astra was extensively damaged when it caught fire in Triq San Xmun, Fgura, at around 02:30hrs CEST on Saturday morning.

The fire was controlled by the Civil Protection Department. The police confirmed no one was injured in the fire however the doors of a residence and a garage in the vicinity were also damaged.

An inquiry is being held.
