Next year you may be facing a €260 increase to your power and water bills as revisions have been tabled by government for considereation.

On Wednesday, Minister Austin Gatt explained how these revisions will be affecting some 70% of Maltese households with a €1.5 - €5 increase per week before a new eco-reduction. Over 40,000 commercial clients could expect a €10 - €46 increase per week before the eco-reduction.

Gatt stated that the new eco-reduction mechanism would apply for clients who did not exceed a certain threshold of consumption.
