Four poets read before lent
On Saturday, 21 February, at 7.30pm, in the historical building of Bieb is-Sultan in Haz-Zabbar, Adrian Grima, Immanuel Mifsud, John P. Portelli, and Terence Portelli will be reading from the books of poetry they published recently.
Adrian Grima and Immanuel Mifsud will be reading from their book about climate change called Rih min-Nofsinhar (Edizzjoni Skarta, 2008).
The Maltese-Canadian poet John P. Portelli, who is a professor of Education at the University of Toronto, will read from his poems in Maltese from his second book called Taht ic-Cirasa/Under the Cherry Tree (PEG 2008), and Terence Portelli will read from his book of haiku, Stoppini u Suffarelli/Sparkles and Whistles (KKM, 2008).
Bieb is-Sultan, Haz-Zabbar, is close to the Cottonera Sports Complex and De La Salle College. Entrance to the reading is free.
This event is being organized by Inizjamed and Poezijaplus, with the support of Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna and VersAghtini Il-Kelma Maltija.
