A talk about “The Origin of Life: an enigma wrapped in mystery” will take place at the University of Malta on Tuesday 17th March at 6pm.The talk will be delivered by Prof Nigel J Mason in lecture room 401 at the Physics Department. This talk is being organized by The International Year of Astronomy 2009 Malta committee and entry is free.
The talk aims to discuss the following fundamental questions:
• How did life begin and evolve on Earth ?
• What are the conditions under which life can exist?
• Do conditions exist elsewhere in the Universe which may sustain life?
