Over the past two days, 18 primary schools with over 400 kids from all over the island took part in these tournaments held at Marsa Rugby pitch.

Youth Rugby in Malta is growing at a very fast rate indeed as the Malta Rugby Football Union with assistance from the Sport Promotion Unit of KMS and sponsored by Gasan Mamo held the second of three two day Tag Rugby tournaments to be held throughout the scholastic year.

Tag rugby is a fast-moving, non-contact invasion game suitable for boys and girls to play together. The interchangeable nature of possession, leading to rapid switching from attack to defence, means that a range of skills is cultivated and developed.

Cooperation, integration and determination, along with individual and collective responsibility, are all key elements in the game of Tag Rugby.
