On online survey has found that Malta is the happiest summer destination while Ottawa, the capital of Canada, is the happiest all-year-round holiday destination in the world. The results are picked from among more than 700 holiday destinations in the world.

The survey, by HappyTellus.com (www.happytellus.com), said Malta “offers most enjoyable surroundings for a summer holiday.”

As far as winter sports destinations are concerned, Finnish and Swedish Lapland were ranked in the top having equal scores with Ottawa.

The holiday destinations in the world were ranked by an on-line search service for holiday destinations. Also the safety and price level of the holiday destination influenced the ranking.

In HappyTellus.com, the user clicks for wishes regarding the temperature, nature, activities, safety, price level and other features of the holiday destination. As a result, the traveler receives a ranked list of the destinations best matching the wishes.
