Sophie to have her single released in the UK
Young Maltese singer and songwriter Sophie will have her single ‘The Clapping Song’ officially released in the UK on the 8th of June.
Very recently, Citybeat 96.7/102.5 FM (www.citybeat.co.uk) became the second major UK radio station to play list Sophie, the first being Birmingham-based Aston FM (www.astonfm.com).
On Tuesday 26th May, Sophie’s version of ‘The Clapping Song’ will be distributed to 150 UK Commercial Radio Stations. All Maltese resident in the UK are urged to call British radio stations to request the song.
In September 2006, Sophie’s own composition Extra Cute, won the Junior Eurovision Malta Final and she had been hugely honoured to represent Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest Final, that year in Romania. Sophie, who dreams of becoming a pop star, is now 15 years old.
