Family TV, which is operated by Far-Fetched Media Ltd and began transmitting just over a year ago, is going to have its licence suspended by the Broadcasting Authority.

Family TV went on air on 5th April 2008, but has not been transmitting its programmes since last Wednesday. A spokesperson for Melita, through which the channel transmits its programmes, said that Melita was not receiving any content from Family TV.

The Broadcasting Authority also stated that it had not been informed by licence holder Far-Fetched Media Ltd about what is happening or its future so it would take steps according to law to suspend its license.
