Two men are being held by the police in connection to a drug haul in Bormla on Friday, the police said in a statement.

Both men are from Bormla and are aged 24 and 38.

11 packets of heroin, packed and ready to be sold were found when the 38 year-old was stopped and searched. The 24 year-old was stopped and searched soon after and he was found to be in possession of a packet of heroin.

Further searches in the latter’s residence yielded some 235 grammes of heroin and an amount of cash.
The men are expected to be arraigned later this weekend while further investigations are underway.
